TVS, a renowned Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, has a diverse range of products in the Colombian market, including commuter bikes, the Apache range, and scooters such as the Ntorq. To cater to the local preferences and tastes, TVS has recently introduced the Special Edition Racing variants of its bikes in Colombia. After the successful launch of the Racing variant of the Raider premium commuting bike, TVS has now unveiled the Racing variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V.
Sportier Styling and Rugged Profile:
The TVS Special Edition Racing variants feature sportier styling, a new colour scheme, and additional equipment. The objective is to achieve a more rugged profile for these bikes, which may appeal to the younger generation of riders. The special edition Racing variants are designed to stand out from the crowd.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Racing Edition - What's New?
One of the key highlights of the Apache RTR 200 4V Racing variant is the new California Gray Red colour scheme. This variant is exclusively available in this colour option, which combines elements of grey, black, and red. The grey colour is predominantly seen on the headlamp cowl, front fender, fuel tank, and engine guard.
The rest of the bike features a blacked-out look, including the engine and exhaust canister. Red highlights are used on the headlamp casing, fuel tank, seat section, and wheels, adding a touch of sportiness. The overall styling of the Apache RTR 200 4V Racing variant is modest and not overly flamboyant. However, it would be interesting to see more exciting colour themes introduced for this special edition variant in the future.
Additional Features and Equipment:
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Racing Edition is based on the top-spec Apache RTR 200 4V model. It comes with several new equipment additions, including hand guards, a flyscreen, a radiator protector, a crash guard, and a front disk brake caliper cover. These features enhance the bike's functionality and provide an enhanced riding experience.
Unchanged Performance and Features:
The performance of the Apache RTR 200 4V Racing Edition remains unchanged compared to the standard version. It is equipped with the same 197.75cc, Euro-3 compliant, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, producing a maximum power of 20.5 PS and a peak torque of 18.1 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Other hardware specifications, such as the chassis and suspension, remain the same as the standard variant.
The standard features of the Apache RTR 200 4V include a claw-styled LED headlamp, LED position lamps with a unique fang design, a race-inspired digital speedometer, a 0-60 timer, a top speed recorder, race-inspired graphics, an upswept exhaust, and Eurogrip Protorq SR radial tyres.
Launch and Availability:
While TVS has launched the Special Edition Racing variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V in Colombia, there is no information regarding its availability in other markets. However, it is unlikely to be introduced in the Indian market. On the other hand, the Raider Racing Special Edition variant might be launched in India, although the exact timeline for its introduction is yet to be confirmed.
