Tata Motors has recently updated the Nexon EV Max XZ+ Lux trim, equipping it with a new 10.25-inch touchscreen. This update follows the release of the Nexon EV Max Dark edition. The XZ+ Lux variant, paired with a 3.3kW charger, is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Additionally, Tata Motors offers the trim with a 7.2kW charger option, available at Rs 19.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Nexon EV Max Competes with the Mahindra XUV400
The latest touchscreen debuted on the Nexon lineup with the EV Max Dark edition. This new variant introduces several enhancements, including wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an upgraded reverse camera, and an integrated voice assistant. Notably, Tata Motors initially introduced this touchscreen with the Red Dark editions of the Harrier and Safari SUVs but excluded it from the Nexon Red Dark edition. It is worth mentioning that the Harrier and Safari SUVs also received an ADAS suite alongside the new touchscreen, which is currently absent from the entire Nexon lineup.

The highlight of the updated Nexon EV Max XZ+ Lux trim is the inclusion of the new 10.25-inch touchscreen, enhancing the compact SUV's technological offerings. Impressive Powertrain of Tata Nexon EV Max
Powering the Nexon EV Max is a 40.5kWh battery, providing an ARAI-claimed range of 453km. However, real-world tests indicate an average range of approximately 266km. The electric motor, situated at the front, delivers 143hp and 250Nm of torque to the front wheels. The vehicle comes equipped with two chargers as standard—a 3.3kW charger and a 7.2kW charger. Using the former, the battery can be fully charged from 10 to 100 percent in approximately 15 hours (as claimed), while the latter accomplishes the same charging time in about 6.5 hours (as claimed). Furthermore, the Nexon EV Max Dark supports up to 50kW DC fast charging, enabling the battery to reach 80 percent charge in just 56 minutes, according to Tata.
Rivalry with Mahindra XUV400
The Nexon EV Max enters the market as a competitor to the recently launched Mahindra XUV400, which is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
